Our recording process is usually tumultuous, lengthy and discordant at best. We conceptualize together and then, as a duo, take to our separate computers to put together music and vocals. To shake this off, we thought an interesting exercise would be to force ourselves to be in one room and record one song in one day. It was terrifying, really, being around each other and allowing ourselves into the other's process, but also enlightening, fun, and we had banh mi so hells yes. Our concept was Carl Sagan's "Cosmos", the fact that the speed of light in space is such that stars we see with our eyes on earth are dead, pop music, and cats. Not witch house aerobics. Also banh mi. Christ that banh mi was good.
